Review: Himalaya herbal products

Geplaas deur Unknown om 14:39 0 opmerkings
I stumbled across this brand recently HimalayaHerbals; the brand claims to be "A range of 100% natural and safe products with rare herbs collected from the foothills of the Himalayas."

However on closer inspection some customers have commented on the site that SOME of their products contain parabens. The company have responded by saying that some parabens are used in a few of their ranges but they are safe.

I've been using the Neem Face Pack for a few weeks now and I have to say that it is really good and calming on my skin. It contains Turmeric and Fuller's Earth, both which are known to control excess sebum, clear the pores and prevent the spread of infection.

I've ordered the Purifying Neem face wash gel which also contains turmeric and i hope that it will be just as good, as im sick of looking for the perfect face wash. Most of them either dry my skin or block my pores and make me break out.

I wanted to order the Refreshing toner and acne-pimple cream but unfortunately they are out of stock! :(

Out of stock :(

The prices are quite resaonable and they also sell haircare/baby care/healthy care products so it's very worthwhile checking out their website.

Once i receive my face wash which should hopefully come by next week, i'll give a review on what i think of it.

Until then check out this (rather cheesy) tv advert for himalaya cream

How To: Hijab Storage

Geplaas deur Unknown om 13:06 0 opmerkings
I love Ikea, once you go there you end up buying soo much stuff that you don't need, but just HAD to get. Now i've got hundreds of hijabs but nowhere to put them. I've tried to fold them up but this is tedious and you can't look at what colour/style you want without it being difficult. So imagine my surprise when i see just what i'm looking for in Ikea....a hijab storage hanger!! or at least that's what i call it. Ikea have named it 'Komplement'- a 'Multi-use hanger'

Shaped like a hanger with rows of holes, it makes it ideal to hang scarves/hijabs and i guess even belts if you wanted to.

You just hang it up in your wardrobe and the best bit about it is that it takes you less time to locate your favourite hijab, result!

Short guide to Morocco

Geplaas deur Unknown om 05:25 0 opmerkings
Morocco is a wonderful place...great sites, great beaches and amazing shopping!!! ;)

I found that it helps if u know French or Arabic as not much English is spoken there..apart from the tourist places such as Marrakesh and Agadir and the bigger cities. The Arabic phrase I think will come in much use (if your a girl) is 'Emshi!' -meaning go away....when you visit Morocco you will know why this word comes in much use!

For more Arabic words and phrases click here

Shopping in Marrakesh

In Morocco the price of all things is bartered for, so don't be afraid to try it! The general rule is to go half and then a bit less than that of the asking price.

I'm sure you all seen the Apprentice episode in which Alan Sugar sent the wannabe apprentices to Marrakesh? If not check it out !

Marrakesh is a place for those who love to spend agesss haggling over the price bartering...the apprentices were sent to the bargaining capital of the world (i reckon anyway :P) to test out their skills...do you think you can match them??

With tourists flocking to Marrakesh, and even celebrities, it tends to be much more expensive than other places in Morocco; so if you can, explore different cities, where you can witness the real beauty of Morocco.

Moroccan Fashion

Traditional Moroccan dress is the Kaftan....when i went Morocco I saw some georgous ones, such as the ones below. They come in different styles and sizes and can be adjusted to fit you.

If you haggle well, you can get a good deal!

Wedding kaftans are so elegant and gorgeous!!

Ourika Valley

Not far from Marrakesh this place offers a cool haven away from the heat of the city. Driving through the Atlas Mountains you can stop off and go for a camel ride. At Ourika Valley why not climb to a beautiful waterfall whilst enjoying a delicious meal of tagine- a traditional Moroccan dish.
