OOTD: Vogue Style!

Geplaas deur Unknown om 16:32 0 opmerkings
HEY GUYYSSS!!!! I'm back with an ootd post!! This is an outfit I wore for a graduation party. I decided to mix a black waterfall dress with jeans for a casual look. The grey blazer is from from New Look for a bargain price of £13. ( I went a little crazzzzyyy in there but that's another story!) I've turned the sleeves up to reveal the black lining underneath for that added twist.

The jeans are my sisters which surprisingly fit me well, even though she is 5ft8 and I am a petite 5ft2. They have a zip detailing at the side which provides for a comfortable fit. (I want to 'borrow' them from her)

Yes that is a toilet door...

Back of dress

The hijab is from Princess Rockz old collection (around a year old) but is one of my favourite crinkle hijabs. This hijab is sold out but there are similar designs on the website.

What have you been up to this weekend? :)

My Eid Outfit-Sari Inspired

Geplaas deur Unknown om 05:00 0 opmerkings
This post is extremely late but I'm sure you will forgive me ;)

I decided on my outfit two days before Eid. I wanted something elegant but simple so decided upon a cream maxi dress from H&M and a dupatta from a shalwar kameez outfit. The dupatta is decorated with a lot of detail which I think works well with the plain dress. I've worn a black long-sleeve top underneath and a black hijab with a gold headband.

So I first draped the dupatta at the front as shown in the photo below:

I am not amused!

I then decided to pin to the maxi dress in a sari style. I used 3 safety pins which stayed in place throughout the day. This is the look as shown below:

Yes this is me on a bouncy castle :p
I'll be writing a post on my Eid mendhi as it's not very clear in the photos.

What did you wear on Eid day?

Flake Away with Soap and Glory Scrub

Geplaas deur Unknown om 11:42 0 opmerkings
If you're after a scrub that really does the job, you may just have found it! I received this as an Eid present and was very excited to try!

On first impressions it looks appealing, with its pink tub (one of my favourite colours so already a plus there) and its comic writing " Transform your scaly legs from reptilian to radiant". I'm telling you the scrub creator was thinking of me when making this! ' Few of its ingredients are Shea butter, peach seed powder and sugar.

from scaly to fabulous baby

Let me be clear this is a serious gritty product so not for the faint hearted or those with super sensitive skin. Also be careful when scrubbing around delicate areas-it may scratch! I think the scrub is for the legs only (maybe that's why it is coarse) however I have also used on my arms and as long as I apply a gently hand it's fine. Using this around my chest area is a no no! Also apply plenty of cream afterwards as your skin will be dry.

Overall this has to be one of the best scrubs that I have used, and it prevents in grown hairs which is always handy! The dead skin does literally fall off! (I like to soak before to get maximum benefits) I wouldn't recommend for every day use, but 2-3 times a week.

As this was a gift I'm not sure about the price, but Soap and Glory's products are reasonably priced. Take a look in your local Boots store to purchase.

What do you think, have you tried this?

OOTD: Brights and Stripes

Geplaas deur Unknown om 16:36 0 opmerkings
I've been quiet on the blogging front so apologies for that (did you miss me?) :p

The next few posts will most likely be brief and outfits of the day that I haven't posted for a while.

This is one that I wore a few days ago, casual but comfortable. It has been warm in London and the weather is set to continue.

Roses and stripes

The hijab I'm wearing is from my website-Princess Rockz. I've had it for a while but it has only just been re-stocked again after selling out the first time. The hijab comes in a few other colours as well so take a look :)

Allow the veiny hand

The bracelet is from Street Princess which I will be writing up a review on.
